The English Classroom has relaunched with ready-to-teach English lessons made for one-to-one online teaching, with slides, native British audio and teacher notes.
The English Classroom is back, rebuilt for teaching English online
Sweden, 2nd October 2026
The English Classroom has been rebuilt and relaunched. Our ready-to-teach English lessons now come in a new version made for teachers and tutors who teach one-to-one online.
The first release is 30 lessons: two A2 courses of 10 lessons and one B1 course of 10 lessons. Teachers share the slides on their screen and teach from their browser. No planning is needed.
What is in each lesson
Each lesson has slides to share with your student, native British English audio on every slide, and teacher notes for every stage of the lesson. The lessons follow the CEFR (the international scale for English levels), so each lesson builds on the one before.
Who it is for
The new lessons are for English teachers and tutors who teach one-to-one online, on tutoring platforms or with their own private students. They are a good fit for newer tutors who want a clear course to follow and less unpaid preparation time.
Where it started
The English Classroom was founded in Sweden, by Jennifer Gardner, a former teacher. She wrote all of the lessons and recorded all 2,500+ audio clips herself. The full course has more than 600 lessons, from beginner (A1) to advanced (C2), with sustainability topics built into every lesson.
More than 7,000 teachers in over 80 countries have registered on The English Classroom to use similar resources in their classrooms. In 2024, Jennie received the Rotary Young Role Model Award from Kalmar Slotts Rotaryklubb for her work on The English Classroom.
What comes next
The first 30 online lessons are available now for users in the Philippines [for ₱399 as a one-off payment]. More courses from the full 600-lesson library will follow in the online format and new markets to be launched soon!
